From the moment Mr Norton greets you in reception for your initial consultation, you are filled with confidence. His manner is professional yet totally relaxed. Cannot fault the whole process. The NHS is lucky to have such a surgeon and cannot thank him and the whole team at The Duchy enough for the skill and care provided.

I have seen Mr Norton on two occasions (so far) and on each occasion I found him to be very Professional. He understands exactly how I am feeling and he has suggested an alternative to a total hip replacement which came as a relief to me.
I was and still am happy to do whatever he thinks is right for my condition.

Mr Norton is the only dr I have seen in the last 5 years who has actually offered any clear answers to my hip problem. He has tried different methods to preserve my hip as I am 46 but as my hip has a substantial hole in it there isn’t much choice but to have it replaced. At no point have I ever felt pressured in to coming to this conclusion about the replacement and was given plenty of time to think about it. Mr Norton has always answered my questions and has shown me the hip replacement and explained all my scans. I have full trust in mr Norton and feel very comfortable talking to him. Appointments have been on time and have never felt rushed. To be able to have a Skye appointment just for results would be helpful as I have along journey to the hospital. Maybe something for the future

I felt immediately at ease with Mr Norton. He was easy to tal to. It was so refreshing to be believed about the problem in my hip, which had seemed to be ignored for almost a year by my GP. At the moment I feel confidence with Mr Norton's proposed treatment.

I am an Orthopaedic Hip surgeon dealing with all types of Hip related problems.
I am best known for having a special interest in younger adults with hip pain when no arthritis is apparent.
I also deal with Hip arthritis and complex hip deformities.
I have 15 years of experience as a Consultant managing young adults with hip problems and a large experience of Hip arthroscopy, open Hip impingement surgery and a wide range of hip replacements including hip resurfacing in very high demand people.
I undertake over 100 hip arthroscopies every year and approximately 200 hip replacements. I perform revision hip replacements and reconstructive surgery for more unusual deformities.
